Cover Supervisor job summary

We are looking to add to our team of Cover Supervisors. Cover Supervisors are required to supervise pupils during short-term absence of their teachers and to ensure that their learning programmes can continue. The cover and support required will be wide and varied throughout all departments in the School, however, we endeavour to utilise any particular subject strengths or preferences where possible. It would be an advantage if applicants had recent experience of working in a secondary school environment or with young people. Good communication skills and a desire to support teenagers in their learning is essential. The ability to contribute to extra-curricular activity is highly desirable. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a successful school and could prepare individuals for future career paths, particularly those interested in going onto teacher training. There is the opportunity for full-time (32.5hours/week) or part-time hours and the start date is negotiable. We will be interviewing during the week commencing 8th November 2021.

Commitment to safeguarding

⚠️ The school is committed to safeguarding children, and the successful applicant will be required to provide an enhanced DBS disclosure. All shortlisted candidates will be subject to appropriate online/social media searches.
