This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a supportive, forward-thinking school where no two days are the same. You will play a pivotal role in maintaining continuity of learning by supervising classes during teacher absences and contributing to our positive and respectful school culture.

About the Role

As a Cover Supervisor, you will:

  • Supervise classes across a range of subjects, ensuring students remain engaged in their learning.
  • Provide support, guidance, and encouragement to students to help them complete the work set by their teachers.
  • Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies, promoting positive conduct at all times.
  • Cover registration and contribute to wider school life, supporting events and activities where needed.
  • Work closely with teachers, pastoral staff, and the Cover Manager to ensure smooth day-to-day operation.

  • Is enthusiastic, flexible, and enjoys working with young people.
  • Has strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships.
  • Is confident managing student behaviour while maintaining a calm and professional approach.
  • Has good organisational skills and can follow set work plans effectively.
  • Can contribute to the wider school ethos, promoting inclusion, equality, and respect.
