About the Role
Consilium Evolve is seeking to appoint a passionate, adaptable, and committed Cross Curricular Teacher to join our Alternative Provision Academy, supporting secondary students who experience emotionally based school avoidance. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a genuine difference to the lives of young people by delivering engaging, meaningful learning across a range of subjects, with particular strength in core curriculum areas.
The successful candidate will be a dynamic classroom practitioner with a flexible and creative approach to curriculum delivery. You will play a key role in delivering a bespoke, cross-curricular curriculum using approaches such as project-based and expeditionary learning, helping students to re-engage with education and achieve both academically and personally.

Key Responsibilities
The Cross Curricular Teacher will:
- Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality, differentiated lessons
- Create a structured, supportive, and nurturing learning environment, particularly for students with SEMH and trauma-related needs
- Contribute to the design and delivery of a bespoke cross-curricular curriculum
- Use assessment effectively to monitor progress and inform teaching
- Work collaboratively with support staff, families, and external agencies
- Contribute to the wider development and improvement of the school
- Deliver pastoral support, including CREW and personal development sessions
- Promote a strong culture of safeguarding and inclusion
Supporting Students and Families
You will build strong relationships with parents/carers, work closely with the SENDCo and external agencies, and contribute to a multi-agency approach to support students’ educational, emotional, and social development.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Qualified Teacher Status
- Experience teaching across the secondary curriculum (core subjects desirable)
- Strong knowledge of SEMH, SEND, and trauma-informed approaches
- Excellent classroom practice and the ability to adapt teaching to meet individual needs
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- A commitment to inclusion, safeguarding, and student wellbeing
- A reflective approach and commitment to professional development
