You will work alongside Principal Jessica Stevenson and the UTC staff to develop a centre of excellence focusing on Computing, Health Science and Sport Science. Central to this role is leading our teams to ensure outstanding delivery of Cambridge National and Technical, in Health, Sport Studies and Sport Science (L2 only), GCSE and A level Psychology and GCSE sociology. The Trust is planning to start a T-Level in Health from September 2026 at both UTC Sheffield OLP and UTC Derby Pride Park, the successful candidate will help to lead the successful implementation of the launch of the T-Level through ongoing planning, employer engagement and the successful securing and delivery of work placements.

In addition, you should be a highly skilled practitioner who understands the challenges of educating 13-19 year olds in an employer led technology rich environment. Effective partnership working is absolutely critical to the UTC’s success. In return, we are committed to support the new post-holder to develop their leadership skills through a focused programme of support and development, which will help to ensure the outstanding outcomes we strive for our young people and preparation for further career progression.

The suitable candidate will; lead and manage the faculty, thereby ensuring that all students and team members adhere to the UTC values and policies and that all students taught within the faculty are given opportunities to maximise their potential; provide high quality teaching and assessments for all students studying within the faculty; lead and contribute to collaborative teaching and learning planning across faculties to fully implement the holistic learning vision of the UTC.

UTC Sheffield Olympic Legacy Park is a University Technical College which opened in September 2016 on the Olympic Legacy Park site in north-east Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England. The UTC is sponsored by The Sheffield College and Sheffield Hallam University, who also sponsor the UTC Sheffield which opened in 2013, Specialising in Computing, Health Sciences and Sport Science.
