We are seeking a dynamic and inspiring teacher of Computer Science with the chance to lead the curriculum area or to be supported to lead the curriculum area for the right candidate; someone who is deeply committed to promoting the value of Computer Science and IT in education and has a track record of delivering outstanding results.
You will have the opportunity to lead and work with a talented team of educators, and to inspire and motivate young people to discover and pursue their own passion for the subject. The Misbourne is an 11-18 Academy in the picturesque village of Great Missenden in the heart of the Chilterns, and is the Lead School for Careers in Bucks. We have nearly 1100 students on roll, including a successful and growing Sixth Form. Our staff tell us they genuinely feel like part of a team; a team who are striving to help each student flourish both academically and personally. We have 3 well-equipped dedicated computer rooms that are fully resourced for the teaching of computer science and IT. Three additional ‘bookable’ computer rooms are used by other curricular areas and students that want to learn. Excerpts from our pleasing 2022 Ofsted inspection include:
