We are seeking a well-qualified and talented Head of AD&T to provide a stimulating and dynamic environment for our students. The successful candidate will lead the department in preparing our students to thrive in a world of Art and Design Technology, building their skills and discernment through expertise and excellent leadership. They will be committed to the opportunities Art, Design & Food Technology can provide and be keen to explore these both within and beyond the classroom.

You will be committed to high standards of learning and student progress and experienced in supporting students to achieve their full potential.

Our extremely popular school is situated in leafy Compton Park, adjacent to the Wolves Academy training grounds, with its wonderful open fields and sports facilities. We have recently invested in 2 brand new IT suites to ensure our students can access the highest quality of resource.

The successful candidate will have a real passion for their subject and a desire to work collaboratively with their well established team to ensure Art and Design Technology are outstanding at St Edmund’s. They will:

  • be an excellent teacher of their subject at KS3, 4 & 5.

  • have excellent communication and behaviour management skills

  • be actively supportive of the Catholic values and beliefs of St Edmund’s and to make a positive contribution to the wider life of the school.

The successful candidate will be passionate about leadership with strong organisational and highly effective planning skills. It is desirable for the successful candidate to have examiner experience or be prepared to take on this role.
