This is an exciting period to join The Buckingham School; we have just completed 2.5 million pounds of renovation work within the school, with more remodelling and renovation of the school premises planned in the near future. The school is equipped with 3 dedicated computing classrooms and this is further supplemented with curriculum areas having banks of Chromebooks available. From October 2021, we will begin our phased introduction of students having their own devices as our Year 8’s will have their own personal Chromebooks to support their learning. Our students and staff are well accustomed with Google Workspace and this has been a curriculum driver across all areas of the school. As we roll out the use of Chromebooks across all year groups the Curriculum Leader of Computing will have a key role in helping to drive pedagogy.
