CURRICULUM LEADER FOR DRAMA job summary
Chiltern Hills Academy invites applications for the opportunity to join the staff of a successful, mixed 11-18 Church of England Academy. Based in the market town of Chesham, Buckinghamshire, we are located in the Chiltern Hills, an area of outstanding natural beauty conveniently situated at the end of the London Underground Metropolitan Line.
We are seeking to appoint, from September 2021, a full-time dynamic leader of Drama. The successful candidate will be extremely motivated and contribute to the high quality drama provision in school. They will join our vibrant and thriving Performing Arts department which is housed in a purpose built block with excellent facilities. Applicants should be able to teach Drama to GCSE/BTEC and A Level and an interest in teaching another subject would be an advantage.
The successful applicant will be an energetic, spirited practitioner who can deliver high-quality learning and who has students’ progress at the forefront of their teaching. They will be able to communicate their passion for the subject through innovative, diverse and stimulating teaching methods. This is an exciting opportunity to make a positive and significant contribution to our wonderful school. They will be fully involved in departmental development, target setting and evaluation of student progress and will possess the following attributes:
