Curriculum Leader for Religious Education job summary

*Please note this is a full/part time role, and you will be paid all year round as per STPCD (School Teacher’s Pay and Conditions Document). Please disregard the fields 'contract term' and 'hours per year'.  


We are seeking an exceptional Curriculum Leader for Religious Education to join our team at Gosforth Academy. This is a pivotal role for an ambitious and inspiring professional who can lead the development of outstanding teaching and learning within the RE department. 

You will take on strategic responsibility for raising achievement and progress in RE across the academy. This includes leading curriculum development, implementing effective assessment strategies, and ensuring high-quality teaching practice. 

As a key member of the leadership team, you will contribute to whole-school priorities and play an active role in shaping the future of the academy. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on student outcomes and to lead a department that is central to our vision of academic success.
