What skills and experience we're looking for

The Governors wish to appoint a dynamic, inspirational, talented and enthusiastic Curriculum Leader of Languages who will support the continued development of our Languages Department. We are looking for a passionate and motivated teacher who believes that all pupils can achieve their full potential and will challenge them to unlock that potential and develop the tools they need to explore beyond what they consider to be possible.

An inspirational and innovative classroom teacher and leader, who is passionate about Languages and keen to improve standards for all pupils. The successful applicant will have the ability to teach outstanding lessons across the age range and be committed to raising standards of attainment and developing the success of the department. They will set high expectations for themselves, their department and the pupils.

Curriculum Leaders assist in managing and leading the school through their responsibility for the leadership and successful delivery of their curriculum area and development of all members of the department. Along with all other members of staff, they assist in running the school by contributing to management initiatives in matters of whole school policy, promoting initiatives in respect of their own areas of responsibility, ensuring high levels of achievement and the day to day management of order and discipline within the department and around the school so that excellent standards of behaviour and courtesy are maintained and a well ordered, aesthetic and encouraging learning environment for pupils is established.
