Curriculum Leader - ICT, Computing and Digital Literacy job summary
About the Role
We are seeking an ambitious and forward‑thinking Curriculum Leader for ICT, Computing and Digital Literacy to lead and develop this vital subject area at The Birley Academy. This is a key middle‑leadership role, responsible for the strategic direction, quality of teaching and learning, and outcomes across Key Stages 3 and 4. You will lead curriculum design, assessment and enrichment, line‑manage and develop colleagues, and work closely with senior leaders and the Trust to ensure a coherent, inclusive and ambitious curriculum that prepares pupils for a rapidly changing digital world.
What We Are Looking For
We are looking for an excellent practitioner and confident middle leader with strong subject expertise in ICT, Computing and Digital Literacy. You will have experience of leading or coordinating a subject or team, be skilled in curriculum sequencing and assessment, and use data intelligently to drive improvement. You will be committed to inclusion, equity and safeguarding, able to coach and inspire colleagues, and set consistently high expectations for pupil behaviour, engagement and achievement. You will model and promote the Trust’s values of Lead, Empower, Achieve and Drive in all aspects of your work.
