About the role
Carleton High School is looking for an inspirational Curriculum Leader of P.E and Health & Social Care to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced or aspiring middle leader to provide strategic leadership across two vibrant curriculum areas.
The successful candidate will take a lead role in shaping the long‑term vision, direction, and development of the P.E. and Health & Social Care curriculum areas, ensuring they are fully aligned with the aims, objectives, and ethos of the school.
They will be responsible for raising standards of teaching, learning, and student achievement, and for ensuring that all learners have access to a high‑quality, inclusive and engaging curriculum.
The successful candidate will:
- Provide strategic leadership to drive high‑quality curriculum planning, provision and improvement
- Lead curriculum design, delivery and evaluation across P.E. and Health & Social Care.
- Monitor student progress and use performance data to raise achievement.
- Develop and support staff to ensure consistently strong teaching and learning.
