We are seeking an exceptional Curriculum Leader in Mathematics to join our team at Great Park Academy. This is a pivotal role for an ambitious and inspiring professional who can lead the development of outstanding teaching and learning within the Mathematics department. 

You will take strategic responsibility for raising achievement and progress in Mathematics across the academy. This includes leading curriculum development, implementing effective assessment strategies, and ensuring high-quality teaching practice. You will line-manage and motivate a team of dedicated staff, fostering a collaborative and innovative culture that drives excellence. 

 As a key member of the leadership team, you will contribute to whole-school priorities and play an active role in shaping the future of the academy. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on student outcomes and to lead a department that is central to our vision of academic success 

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We’re looking for an inspiring and forward-thinking leader with a passion for Mathematics and a proven ability to raise standards. The successful candidate will demonstrate: 

  • Excellent classroom practice and a track record of high achievement and progress across KS2, KS3 and KS4 
  • Expertise in curriculum development and assessment strategies within Mathematics. 
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to influence and motivate others. 
  • A creative, innovative approach to teaching and learning, with a commitment to continuous improvement. 
  • Excellent knowledge of current developments and best practice in Mathematics education. 
  • Outstanding organisational and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with staff, students, and parents. 
  • Resilience, adaptability, and a positive attitude towards change and challenge. 
  • A reflective practitioner with enthusiasm, drive, and a sense of humour. 
  • Qualified Teacher Status and a good relevant degree.
