The MFL department currently has five full time and three part time specialists. The Curriculum Leadership Team consists of four post holders. This team collectively have the responsibility for delivering French, German and Spanish in all Key Stages.
Our vision for the curriculum is based around our five Cs - Core Knowledge, Communication, Culture, Creativity and Commitment.
Our goal is to ensure all students are enthused by their language learning at Key Stage 3 so that they choose to study single or dual languages at GCSE. This will then progress into our growing Sixth Form where students can follow an A Level course in all three languages.
The school offers opportunities for foreign travel and exchanges, which further enhance our curriculum.
The future direction of our curriculum can be discussed at the interview stage of this process, but we genuinely want the successful candidate to play an active role in generating a passion for MFL amongst our students.
