What skills and experience we're looking for
We have an exciting opportunity for a current aspiring leader to join our school in our new role of Curriculum Leader PSHCE/RSE. This is subject area which, following a positive Ofsted visit, has been highlighted as fundamental to the development of Benfield’s whole-school drive for improvement. This is an opportunity for a place on an incredibly talented Curriculum Leadership Team who continue to drive standards in all areas, but specifically, Quality of Education. The lead in this area will lead colleagues from across the school, as well as subject specialists, in the creation and implementation of a successful and ambitious bespoke curriculum, rooted in the context of Benfield’s community. The post holder willteach throughout the age and ability range in both their specialist subject as well as PSHCE. The role will suit someone who is able to effectively lead and manage colleagues and able to build positive relationships with both students and colleagues. We are looking for someone who can inspire and influence and who:
- Has recent experience of working with young people in a secondary school.
- Can contribute to the design, delivery and evaluation of our curriculum.
- Has experience of implementing strategies that raise learner and department attainment, and also continually evaluate their effectiveness.
- Can contribute to formulation of improvement plans both for the school and department.
