Cardinal Newman School has an exciting opportunity for a Curriculum leader Social Sciences who shares this passion. The successful candidate must have experience of teaching either Sociology, Psychology or Criminology at Key Stage 5.
Cardinal Newman School is an 11-19 comprehensive school with Specialist Science Status, serving the Roman Catholic community in Luton and Dunstable. We are one of the most successful schools in Luton and have a thriving 6th form with 300 students. We have been consistently described by Ofsted as a ‘good’ school and under Section 48 as an ‘outstanding Catholic school’.
We are looking for a highly motivated and inspiring Curriculum Leader to enthuse and engage a team of excellent teachers, build upon the high standards already achieved and continue the growth and development of the department.
The ideal candidate will be an outstanding classroom practitioner, able to display leadership skills that encourage staff to be creative and develop rich and exciting lessons. The person appointed will be an ambitious leader with a clear vision of what an outstanding department will look like and will have the talent to deliver on this vision.
