What skills and experience we're looking for

You’ll hold a Level 2 Dog Grooming Assistant qualification (or equivalent) and have experience delivering excellent customer service. Previous experience in a commercial dog grooming environment is essential, alongside current industry knowledge and relevant CPD. A First Aid qualification would be advantageous, although support may be available to achieve this. We are looking for a flexible, organised, and enthusiastic individual with strong communication and teamwork skills. You’ll work closely with the Dog Grooming Teacher, building positive relationships with students, clients, and colleagues while supporting a professional and welcoming salon environment.

You will play a key role in the day-to-day operation of our Dog Grooming Salon, helping to maintain high standards of cleanliness, organisation, and customer care. You will support practical grooming sessions, carry out stock checks, maintain equipment, and ensure compliance with health and safety procedures. Working closely with staff and students, you will help ensure every dog is groomed to an exceptional standard while promoting the highest levels of animal welfare. You will also support the promotion of the salon through events, community engagement activities, and the planning and delivery of our annual Dog Festival.
