We are seeking to appoint an outstanding Dance and PE teacher to cover a maternity leave. The successful candidate will further strengthen the highly popular Dance Department by leading further curriculum and teaching development and build on outcomes recently achieved at KS4. Applications are invited from inspirational and talented classroom practitioners who are dedicated to delivering the highest quality Dance teaching, supporting and encouraging youngsters to flourish with regard to mastery, creativity and future pathways in Dance. The successful candidate will be passionate about delivering exciting, innovative and engaging Dance lessons that allow all students to achieve their full potential.
Dance is a small department which has a strong history of high achievement in BTEC Performing Arts and supporting the schools highly successful Musical Productions. The role involves working closely with the Head of Dance and Drama and Director of Performance to maintain: current teaching practice, assessment, and to provide extra-curricular opportunities. Alongside teaching dance, a successful applicant will deliver a small amount of KS3 and KS4 core PE.
