Dance Instructor job summary
We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated Dance Instructor to work in Primary schools within the Castle Point and Rochford borough and this exciting position offers you the opportunity to work with young people people delivering specialist dance coaching within lessons, clubs and project work.
Applicants must have a passion for the subject and may already have experience in delivering PE within primary school settings.
The successful Dance Instructor will have high expectations of behaviour and attainment and will have the ability to build positive relationships with others. In return we fully support our coaches and provide them with feedback, guidance and mentoring to ensure they are delivering the best lessons possible whilst enjoying their role.
This role is due to start immediately and you will be employed on a casual contract, enjoying the benefits of flexible working. You can expect to work approximately 10 - 20 hours per week although hours will vary with demand. The core working hours are 8.00 am - 4.30 pm as you may be expected to run before and after school clubs. Our Instructors work during term time plus there are also opportunities to take part in our popular Holiday Camps around the borough.
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications, but you must hold a dance degree or equivalent professional dance qualification. A full clean driving licence is essential and you will be required to undertake an Enhanced DBS check and all statutory training applicable to the role.
