Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead job summary
We are seeking an energetic, resilient, confident and empathetic individual to join our community. Working between our Pastoral, SEN and Safeguarding teams to enable the best outcomes for our students.
As safeguarding is at the centre of everything we do, we are seeking a self motivated, experienced safeguarding professional, with a keen eye for detail and an inquisitive nature to join our strong experienced team.
We appoint on potential as well as experience, and we are committed to nurturing staff development. In return, we offer you a friendly and supportive environment and the chance to make a genuine difference to the amazing young people that make up our Academy.
The role is 37 hours per week, term time plus five days.
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and require all staff and volunteers to share and demonstrate this commitment. The successful candidate will have to meet the requirements of the person specification and will be subject to the relevant pre-employment checks which will, where applicable, include a health check, an enhanced DBS check, the Children’s Barred List check and satisfactory references.
It is an offence for an individual who has been disqualified from working with children to knowingly apply for, offer to do, accept, or do any work in a ‘regulated activity’.
