Deputy Finance Director job summary
The University of Kent Academies Trust (UKAT) is seeking an inspiring and collaborative Deputy Finance Director to help shape the next chapter of our journey. This role is being offered on a part-time (22.5 hours per week), all year round, permanent basis, providing the successful candidate with stability and flexibility. Working closely with our Chief Financial and Operations Officer (Deputy CEO), you will play a key role in strengthening our financial strategy, ensuring transparency, and delivering an excellent service to our schools and communities.
UKAT is in a strong and stable financial position, and our new colleague will be committed to sustaining and building on this success, ensuring that our resources continue to support the very best outcomes for our students and staff.

We are looking for a CCAB/CIMA qualified (or finalist) professional who combines technical strength with emotional intelligence. You’ll bring a proactive, solutions-focused approach, the ability to influence at senior levels, and a genuine commitment to collaboration and inclusivity.
