What skills and experience we're looking for

We are looking for a well-organised, practical and understanding individual to join the Academy as a Deputy Head of Boarding. This is an exceptional opportunity for a keen boarding and or pastoral practitioner to experience all aspects of pastoral leadership and management in this busy and exciting setting. Although there will be many opportunities for the Deputy Head of Boarding to be involved in the wider life of the school, the role offers the opportunity to specialise in pastoral provision and the primary focus of the role will be on supporting and developing the boarding experience at Brymore.

This role is suited to an individual who can both lead, support and inspire both staff and students to get the maximum out of themselves on both a day-to-day basis and also over a sustained long-term approach.

We are looking for an outstanding individual to ensure the wellbeing of all the boys is at the heart of what we do, and to be part of a successful team.

What the school offers its staff

What we offer:

  • On-site accommodation is provided for this role, which is available all year round, inclusive of utility bills.
  • Generous Local Government Pension Scheme
  • Employee Reward Scheme - including high street discounts and a staff wellbeing hub.

Commitment to safeguarding

Brymore Academy is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare and safety of children and therefore this post requires a criminal background check via the disclosure procedure.
