We are seeking to appoint a Deputy Head Teacher (DHT for Brays School Tile Cross site/Leycroft Academy) to work with the Head Teacher developing the new school. They will deputise for the Head Teacher in their absence. As both schools will be still run by Forward Education Trust (the employer) the terms and conditions of employment will not change upon de-amalgamation.
The successful candidate will be an exemplary teacher of who is highly experienced, enthusiastic, and motivated to share in the leadership and management of our school and have a solid understanding of how to work with pupils with complex autism. Applicants will need to demonstrate recent experience of leading teaching in more than one phase and in a special school environment. They will need to be currently holding a TLR or senior post with significant and sustained responsibility to be considered for this role.
The successful person will be expected to lead on elements of the school improvement plan and take the lead in the day-to-day running of the Tile Cross site under the leadership of the new Head Teacher. All senior leaders are expected to undertake the Designated Safeguarding Lead qualification to keep our children safe. This applicant will become the SENCO for Brays Tile Cross/Leycroft Academy and be expected to hold this qualification in due course if they do not already hold it.
