Heathlands Primary Academy is seeking an ambitious, dedicated and inspirational leader to join our senior leadership team as Deputy Headteacher.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and passionate professional to work alongside the Headteacher in leading a school committed to high standards, inclusion, and the success of every child.
About the Role
As Deputy Headteacher, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction of the school while ensuring excellence in day-to-day operations. You will support the Headteacher in driving school improvement, promoting high-quality teaching and learning, and maintaining a safe, inclusive and nurturing environment for all pupils.
You will also have a teaching commitment and lead key areas of responsibility such as curriculum development, assessment, or a core subject.

Key Responsibilities
You will:
- Support the Headteacher in delivering a clear and ambitious vision for the school
- Lead on key aspects of teaching, learning, and curriculum development
- Drive improvements in behaviour, attendance, and pupil wellbeing
- Ensure high standards of teaching and learning across the school
- Line manage and develop staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement
- Deputise for the Headteacher as required
- Contribute to school self-evaluation and inspection readiness
- Act as a Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL)
