The Trustees, Governors, staff, pupils and families of Lord Scudamore Academy are seeking an experienced and motivated Deputy Headteacher to join our thriving school community. We are looking for a leader with the energy, commitment and drive to help shape our next stage of development and to work alongside colleagues to secure the very best outcomes for every child.

We are looking for a Deputy Headteacher who is:

  • Inspirational: Someone who is an inspiring role model to others and can support the Headteachers to shape the future direction of the school with clarity, courage, and creativity.
  • Inclusive: A leader who champions diversity, promotes equality, and ensures every child is seen, heard, and supported.
  • Enthusiastic: A leader who is motivated, energetic and supportive with a good sense of humour and sensitivity to others.
  • Collaborative & people focused: A leader who leads strong teams, values staff voice, and drives meaningful change through shared vision and collective responsibility.
  • Ambitious: Driving high expectations by developing, inspiring, and empowering staff through coaching and professional development.
