What skills and experience we're looking for
The Deputy Head post represents an exciting opportunity for candidates looking to develop their leadership skills within a very strong and supportive professional network. This exciting opportunity has come up in order to support the capacity of our academy growth and leadership teams. In addition to the main aspect of this role the suitable candidate will also be required to support at one of our other academies on a regular basis.
Park is an academy of excellence, with a rapidly increasing number of pupils, our academy is currently graded as Outstanding in all areas. The specific areas of this role will be agreed with the right candidate. If you have significant experience in any of the following areas and are an existing Deputy Head or current Assistant Head then do get in touch for a further discussion.
You must have:
- Experience of and interest in the leadership of Inclusion & SEND
- Successful experience leading an area of improvement
- Delivering CPD and supporting the development of teachers at different levels of experience
- The ability to identify and implement successful safeguarding, inclusion strategies for all pupils and SEND
- Excellent understanding of curriculum and pedagogical issues, including recent developments within the primary phase
- Effective pastoral and behaviour management skills at middle or senior leadership
- The ability to develop excellent relationships
- Understanding of strategies that enable pupils to make excellent progress
Able to demonstrate resilience, and willing to face new challenges with enthusiasm and positivity
