We are looking for an inspirational and committed Deputy Head with a strong track record in pastoral leadership, behaviour and inclusion. The successful candidate will be passionate about student wellbeing, skilled at building positive relationships and confident in driving whole-school improvement, ensuring every pupil feels supported, challenged and able to succeed. You will closely with the Headteacher and Senior Leadership team to create a calm and respectful school environment, promoting positive attitudes, resilience and pride.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop the school’s pastoral vision, promoting high standards of behaviour, attendance and inclusion.
  • Strategic responsibility for evaluating pastoral systems and structures across the Academy
  • Line manage pastoral teams and develop staff through coaching and support
  • Build strong relationships with students, families and external agencies
  • Contribute to whole-school leadership, culture and continuous improvement

Pay range: L18-L22 - £78,702.00 - £86,803.00 - Salary is negotiable and dependent on experience

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Proven experience in a senior leadership role with significant pastoral responsibility
  • Strong knowledge of behaviour, attendance and inclusion
  • Ability to inspire, motivate and develop staff and build effective working relationships
  • Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
