Stimpson Avenue Academy is seeking to appoint a highly motivated and skilled leader and teacher to join the Senior Leadership Team. The right candidate for this deputy headship will need to have previous leadership experience in a primary school and be aspirational in their leadership approach.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
• Support the Head of school in delivery of the strategic school vision, for all members of the school community
• Be an enthusiastic leader who has a visible presence around the school.
• Lead the school in the absence of the Head of School. This will include undertaking a range of leadership and management roles and responsibilities as agreed by the Head of School.
• Deputise for the head of school, as required and support the Head of School in managing staff and resources.
• Inspire and motivate all staff.
• Work closely with phase and subject leaders to enrich and improve curriculum planning across all subjects and year groups, monitoring internal data to maximise pupil outcomes.
• Have a full understanding of all processes involving children in care, child protection and safeguarding and be committed to working in partnership.
• Take an active role in promoting the safeguarding and welfare of all of our pupils.
• Have an innovative and creative approach.
• Be committed to high standards of teaching and learning and the professional development of staff.
• Have high expectations which motivate, support and challenge teachers and pupils alike.
• Have excellent communication skills.
• Be able to work in partnership with our families to improve the life chances of the pupils in our care.

As part of your role as Deputy Headteacher, you will have a 1 day per week teaching commitment.
