What skills and experience we're looking for

  • Practising Catholic with a strong commitment to the Catholic faith and ethos of the school (reserved post).
  • Proven experience of leading, managing and motivating staff to achieve high standards.
  • Outstanding classroom practitioner with a strong track record of improving teaching and learning.
  • Experience of supporting school improvement and raising pupil outcomes.
  • Strong understanding of Ofsted and Catholic Schools Inspectorate (CSI) frameworks.
  • Ability to work strategically alongside the Headteacher to deliver a clear vision for school development.
  • Passionate about creating an inclusive environment where every child can thrive and succeed.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, parents, governors and external partners.
  • Ability to inspire, motivate and develop high-performing teams.
  • Skilled in analysing performance data and using evidence to drive improvement.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children at all times.
  • Resilient, adaptable and committed to continuous professional development.
