What skills and experience we're looking for

Above all we are looking for a practitioner who will play a key role in contributing to our ethos of Excellence for All. We are seeking to appoint an individual who is passionate about living our school values, Be Kind - Be Safe - Go Above and Beyond, embracing the opportunity to make a difference to the lives of all our pupils.

We are looking for an individual who will:

  • work in close partnership with the Headteacher and senior leadership team to deliver the school’s vision and improvement priorities
  • champion restorative justice and relational practice across the school.
  • support and drive inclusive practice, including SEND and vulnerable groups.
  • support teaching and support staff, including leading on professional development.
  • oversee behaviour and wellbeing, promoting the school’s values: Be Kind, Be Safe, Go Above and Beyond.
  • contribute to the strategic leadership of the school, including self-evaluation and school improvement planning.
  • act as a role model for staff and pupils, upholding the highest expectations and professional standards.
  • engage with the Wandsworth Deputy Head forum and support networks.
  • work closely with parents, carers, and external agencies to promote positive outcomes for all pupils.
  • experience as a DSL or assistant DSL.
  • take part in a comprehensive handover period with the current Deputy Headteacher.
