Bourne Westfield is a three-form-entry academy with its own nursery and wrap around care. It is situated in the pleasant market town of Bourne, close to Stamford and Peterborough. It is a popular school noted for its high academic standards, the excellent pastoral care and a supportive working environment for all the staff. Children are encouraged to take real pride in their achievements and much is done to develop a climate of praise and positive reward. Consequently, our Outstanding Ofsted inspection in 2014 recognised the strong learning behaviours of our pupils and the excellent learning ethos.

The academy is set in spacious and attractive grounds and prides itself on the facilities it offers, particularly for PE, Music and environmental outdoor education, including Forest School. We constantly strive to ensure that the education we offer excites, motivates and challenges our pupils so that they get the very best out of their time at Westfield.

We are a big school with around 630 pupils and a nursery, but we pride ourselves on having a real family feel. Staff, parents and governors work together as a team for the good of all children. There is a good balance of experience within the whole staff team, both teachers and teaching assistants. Every member of the teaching staff is given the opportunity to take on an area of responsibility within a curriculum team and grow as a leader. As part of Keystone Academy Trust, we also benefit from an experienced central team, who support the school in continual improvement.

Keystone Academy Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people and expects all staff to share in this commitment. The successful candidate will be subject to the relevant enhanced checks and employment references.
