This is an opportunity for a leader with integrity, warmth and high expectations to make a meaningful difference at Brocklewood Primary School. We are seeking an aspiring or experienced Deputy Headteacher who embodies our KRIS values; someone who is kind and professional in their approach, respectful and consistent in their leadership, inclusive in removing barriers for children and staff, and committed to creating a safe, calm and secure environment where everyone can thrive.
As Deputy Headteacher, you will play a central role in strengthening what already works well and driving improvement where it is needed. You will lead with clarity and reliability, supporting colleagues to develop their expertise whilst holding firmly to high standards. You will champion excellent teaching and learning, ensuring that both children and adults are supported and challenged to be at their best and achieve their full potential.
We are proud to be a Music Hub School, an Artsmark Gold school and a Forest School. We are also a Royal Shakespeare Company Associate School, working alongside several primary and special schools across the city to enrich our curriculum through performance and language. PE and Sport are strengths of the school, reflected in our School Games Gold status for the past three years. We are supported by a strong and dedicated Governing Body who share our ambition for the community.
If you lead with honesty, model respect in every interaction and believe that kindness and high expectations go hand in hand, we would love to hear from you.
We are looking for a Deputy Headteacher who will:
• Be an ambitious and inspirational leader, able to motivate and empower staff and children to achieve their full potential.
• Have high ambition for all children to achieve the highest standards
• Be committed to children enjoying and engaging in their learning whilst being challenged
• Be an excellent teacher with the ability to secure excellence in teaching throughout the school
• Have experience of leading people, developing their expertise and holding to account with clarity and fairness
• Have a commitment to inclusion and equity.
• Lead with honesty and integrity.
• Communicate confidently with all members of the school community
We offer:
• The opportunity to work within a strong leadership team alongside a Head of School and an experienced Executive Headteacher with a proven track record of developing, supporting and growing successful school leaders.
• The opportunity to be innovative in supporting school improvement and to continue to make a real difference to the lives of our pupils.
• Being part of a fast growing, well respected and highly effective Multi Academy Trust, that embraces each individual member school’s identity and staff groups.
• Opportunities to collaborate with schools and practitioners across the Trust sharing best practice and resources
• A dedicated pastoral team of DSLs, behaviour mentor, learning mentor, school counsellor and school dog to support wellbeing
• Wellbeing support for colleagues through our “Care Team” of volunteers led by our School Counsellor
• Access to Exceptional CPD through our Transform Applied offer
• Support and challenge through a variety of partnerships, networks and relationships within the Trust
Being part of Transform Trust means that you will have access to the following:
• Peer to peer networking, collaboration, challenge and support
• The security of working in a climate of shared accountability
• Investment in your professional development and future career
• Opportunities to contribute to the development of a growing organisation
• Access to a range of core services that enable you to focus on leading, teaching and learning
