This is an opportunity to join a highly successful secondary school with happy and committed staff delivering excellent student outcomes. As Deputy Head you will be central to our ongoing commitment to simplify, deepen and improve Brookfield for our Students and Staff.
We are looking for a candidate who has a proven track record in improving teaching and learning, student outcomes and middle leadership in their current post. The successful candidate will also demonstrate the following key attributes:
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a good sense of humour
- A great listener and communicator
- Able to identify the most important next steps and develop simple and effective systems and structures
The specific responsibilities will be agreed with the successful candidate post appointment.

What the school offers its staff
Senior Leadership Team at Brookfield:
The Senior Leadership Team currently comprises of the Headteacher, three Deputy Headteachers, six Directors of Learning (Assistant Head level) and one Business Manager.
Directors of Learning largely oversee two/three curriculum areas creating an internal ‘systems leadership’ model to help achieve and maintain the highest standards of leadership and learning. They also have areas of whole school responsibility.
