Deputy Headteacher job summary
We are looking for someone who:

- Has successful experience as a senior leader in a primary school and can demonstrate how they have contributed to sustained school improvement and high outcomes for pupils.
- Has expertise in leading a core curriculum subject, with a strong understanding of curriculum design, implementation and improvement.
- Has significant knowledge and experience of inclusion, with a proven track record of improving outcomes for vulnerable pupils and those with SEND.
- Can demonstrate strong understanding of inclusive strategy and provision, ensuring every child receives the support they need to succeed academically, socially and emotionally.
- Has experience as a DSL or Deputy DSL, with excellent safeguarding knowledge and an unwavering commitment to keeping children safe.
- Has the confidence, resilience and organisational skills to support the day-to-day leadership and management of the school.
- Has a strong understanding of the wider curriculum and can support leaders in developing a rich, ambitious and inclusive curriculum.
- Has experience of quality assurance, using monitoring, evaluation and evidence to drive continuous improvement.
- Is skilled in coaching, mentoring and developing staff, and can lead high-quality professional development that builds confidence, expertise and leadership capacity whilst fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Is an exceptional role model who leads with kindness, integrity, compassion and professionalism.
- Builds positive relationships with children, families, staff, governors and the wider community.
- Shares our belief that every child can succeed and is committed to securing the very best outcomes for all learners.
- Has the energy, ambition and drive to help lead the next stage of our school's journey while maintaining a strong focus on staff wellbeing.
CLOSING DATE: Friday 16th 5pm
If successful, you will be notified by 12.00pm on Monday 19th October. The first stage of the selection process will be a lesson observation in your current setting, which will take place on Tuesday 20th or Wednesday 21st.
The second part of the selection process will take place on Thursday 22nd October.
