Deputy Headteacher (Curriculum, Teaching and Assessment) job summary

We are seeking a values-driven, outward-facing Deputy Headteacher to join the leadership team of this successful and happy school within our Trust. Red Kite Learning Trust is a community of 16 schools across Harrogate and Leeds, big enough to make a difference but small enough to ensure every school has a voice and influence over our future.

Rossett Acre Primary is a school with a strong performance record, with an Ofsted rating of Good overall effectiveness, with Outstanding for Behaviour and Attitudes and Personal Development (June 2022). We are an oversubscribed school with an excellent reputation across the local community. As Deputy Headteacher, you will work closely with the Headteacher and colleagues across our Trust, benefiting from system-wide school improvement expertise, collaborative professional development, and leadership networks.

Working closely with the Headteacher, the Deputy Headteacher will provide ethical, compassionate, and confident leadership, with a particular focus on curriculum, teaching and assessment, ensuring every child receives an outstanding education.
