Deputy Headteacher job summary

Flamstead End School is a thriving two form entry single academy Primary school in Cheshunt, Hertfordshire. An outstanding school, with a preschool and nursery attached. We are seeking to appoint a deputy headteacher for a January 2022 start or sooner.

We are looking for someone who;

Is enthusiastic, friendly and a capable leader

Can inspire and nurture an existing team of strong teaching staff

Can engage the parental community

Can enthuse the school community with ideas for the wider curriculum

Understands children’s needs and behaviour

Has an understanding of EYFS, KS1 and KS2

Flamstead End School is a thriving primary school in Cheshunt with approximately 485 children on roll. It has a preschool, a 60-place nursery offering 30 hours provision, and two classes per year group from Reception to Year 6. Flamstead end is also a ' Herts Therapeutic Thinking' school, and seeks to understand and support children's behaviour so that they are able to learn and achieve to the best of their ability.
