Leadership Scale Salary Range L2 – L7 (dependent on experience)

Kingfield Primary School’s current Deputy Headteacher has just been appointed to Headship, and we are now looking for an exceptional Deputy Headteacher to join the team. We are looking for someone who is highly motivated, dedicated and inspirational who will build upon the school’s successful journey. At Kingfield Primary every child is nurtured, and the school prides itself on its drive to want every child to be the best they can be. The school is diverse and inclusive to all.

This is an exciting opportunity for an inspiring, forward thinking and organised leader who can work in partnership with the Headteacher to develop and implement the school’s strategic vision and drive continued school improvement. We are seeking a Deputy Headteacher who will champion excellence in teaching, learning and pastoral care.

This role will include a commitment to teach in class up to 2 days a week.

Kingfield Primary School is based in Woking and is part of The SWAN Trust, a multi-academy trust comprised of 10 schools all within the Primary phase.

We are looking for an experienced Leader who:

  • inspires and motivates others, providing confident leadership that builds on and strengthens the school’s clear vision and values;
  • will establish high standards and expectations of the teaching and learning within the school;
  • be a consistently highly effective teacher with secure evidence-based understanding of what makes the best teaching;
  • communicates with clarity, empathy and integrity, building strong and trusting relationships with children, staff, families, governors and a wide range of stakeholders within and beyond the school;
  • can demonstrate they have a deep understanding of meeting the needs of vulnerable children.
  • is committed to working within our Trust and will act in the best interests of the whole Trust, collaborating with others and contributing to the strategic direction of the Trust.
