Our Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity at Lady Lumley’s School to be our next Deputy Headteacher. You will be joining a school extremely proud of its heritage and which all staff and students strive to be the very best they can be, led by a truly inspirational Headteacher.
Our new Deputy Headteacher will be responsible for:
- Supporting the SLT with driving the implementation of the school improvement plan, setting high expectations for students and staff in line with the school’s motto of‘be our best’
- Providing energetic leadership and contribute to the strategic direction of the school, leading by example
- Leadership and oversight of assessment and reporting systems
- Management of the annual reporting cycle ensuring the meeting of statutory requirements and the provision of quality information to parents
- Leading on curriculum innovation and development, including the provision of Social, Moral, Spiritual and Cultural provision
- Performance management and line management as directed by the Headteacher
- Leading on and disseminating research and good practice in Teaching and Learning including developing and formalising incremental coaching to develop pedagogy
- Co-ordinating the professional development of the learning support, clerical support, and technical support staff in consultation with the School Business Manager
- Representing the school on collaborative activities such as the development of the Scarborough Teaching alliance
