Deputy Headteacher job summary

We are a caring and happy school that encourages everyone, both children and staff, to give their best. Our new appointment will be expected to commit themselves to this aim. There will be a teaching commitment of 0.6. The successful candidate will also: • Be a highly motivated and dedicated leader inspired by the distinctiveness of a Church of England School ethos; • Develop a strategic vision for improving teaching and learning in partnership with the Headteacher and governors; • Be an inspirational teacher committed to providing high quality learning for pupils and having high expectations of them; • Have a proven track record of improving teaching, learning and pupil outcomes; • Be experienced in curriculum innovation and development; • Have strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data in order to assist in the school’s improvement; • Be an exemplary role model who is able to lead and motivate staff; • Demonstrate leadership in the raising of standards, including for children who have barriers to their learning; • Have an excellent knowledge of safeguarding procedures and processes • Be able to hold colleagues to account for their professional performance.
