Deputy Headteacher job summary

We are seeking two experienced and dynamic Deputy Headteachers to join our dedicated leadership team and contribute to the continued success of our school. This is an exciting opportunity for a committed professional who is passionate about making a significant difference in children's lives through strategic leadership and collaborative practice.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Demonstrates exceptional leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate staff and pupils alike.
  • Has a proven track record of driving school improvement and raising standards across the curriculum.
  • Possesses excellent interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with children, colleagues, parents, and the wider school community.
  • Is committed to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment where every child can thrive.
  • Is ready to take on significant responsibilities, including deputizing for the Headteacher when required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Headteacher in shaping the strategic direction of the school, setting high expectations and a clear focus on pupil achievement.
  • Lead, manage, and develop key areas of the school in line with school policy and statutory requirements.
  • Contribute to the school's self-evaluation and improvement planning processes.
  • Ensure the effective implementation of safeguarding policies and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with pupils, staff, governors, parents, and the wider community.
