What skills and experience we're looking for
Required for April 2023 an inspirational and committed Deputy Head teacher.
This is an exciting opportunity to join our team and make a significant contribution to the next phase of Cranbourne’s journey towards excellence. Cranbourne is a Good school with Outstanding Leadership, according to Ofsted in 2021; we have made significant progress since then and now need an experienced senior leader to steer us to excellence in behaviour, attendance and ethos.
We are looking for somebody who has a genuine commitment to high quality comprehensive education; equality, diversity and student well-being, with a proven track record in senior leadership roles. The successful candidate will possess significant experience of managing the pastoral area at either senior or middle leadership level together with the ability to motivate, inspire and enthuse with the skills to embrace and manage change in the pursuit of excellence.

Cranbourne is a welcoming 11-16 comprehensive school in the heart of Basingstoke. The school is situated in a leafy suburb, close to the town centre on a large green site, with excellent facilities, including extensive playing fields, specialist arts, media and design workshops as well as a large indoor swimming pool. We also benefit from specialist vocational teaching in Hair and Beauty and Sport and Music. The school’s core purpose is to meet the needs of each individual student. We are proud of our GCSE results, and our specialist unit for the teaching of students with dyslexia.
