Park High School is a hugely-inclusive, coeducational, comprehensive converter academy, judged ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted in its last two inspections, in 2009 and 2013. We are an SSAT school and a strategic partner in the Harrow Collegiate Teaching School Alliance. With 1540+ students, including around 200 in the sixth form, the school is well regarded by the community it serves and typically has three applications for every available place in Year 7.
We have been described by our students as a ‘large school with a small school feel’. We provide a welcoming, calm and safe environment in which all can go about the business of teaching and learning. Staff in every area of the school, whatever their role, are kind, and entirely focussed on making sure that every child makes the most of the opportunities offered to them. Safeguarding and child protection practices are exemplary; attendance rates are well above average; and visitors to the school frequently comment upon the harmonious, multi-cultural, multi-faith nature of our community.
The taught curriculum we offer is broad and balance with a three-year key stage three. A wide variety of extra-curricular activities is available and constantly being added to, a combination of student request and staff willingness to share their additional skills. School-based learning is enriched with links to Kings College London’s Brilliant Club, close links with colleges in Oxford and Cambridge Universities and our recent partnership with the Forest School. In addition, we host a range of authors, poets and drama companies including the Young Shakespeare Company.
