Deputy Headteacher – Quality of Education
We are seeking an exceptional Deputy Headteacher to join the Senior Leadership Team at BCHS, working closely with the Headteacher and wider leadership team to drive sustained school improvement. This pivotal role will play a central part in shaping the strategic direction of the school, raising standards of teaching and learning, and ensuring the highest quality of educational provision and outcomes for every student.
This post is well suited to an experienced deputy seeking a new challenge or a highly effective senior or middle leader ready to take on significant whole‑school strategic responsibility. As Deputy Headteacher for Quality of Education, you will lead on curriculum intent, implementation and impact, teaching and learning, assessment, and outcomes, ensuring that all students benefit from an ambitious, inclusive and coherently sequenced curriculum.
You will have strategic oversight of curriculum design and review, professional development, quality assurance, and standards across the school. Working collaboratively with subject leaders and pastoral teams, you will ensure that high expectations, strong pedagogy and effective assessment are consistently embedded. You will also play a key role within the wider Trust leadership network, contributing to system leadership and benefiting from high‑quality professional development opportunities.
