Deputy Headteacher (Quality of Education) job summary

An excellent career opportunity for an aspiring Headteacher to join the Leadership Team of Parrenthorn High School.

Parrenthorn High School is a popular, caring and successful 11-16 comprehensive school with hardworking pupils and dedicated and highly motivated staff. The school is located in a pleasant semi-rural area with easy access to the M60, M62 and M66 motorways, Bury and Manchester.

In addition to fulfilling an effective leadership role, the successful candidate will have the following specific responsibilities, amongst others:

Lead on the quality of education so as to ensure positive pupil outcomes

Be responsible for all lead practitioners and oversee their work in maintaining high standards of teaching, learning and achievement in core subject areas.

Co-ordinate the coaching of teaching staff so as to improve the quality of education in school

Ensure high quality implementation of excellent teaching

Lead and co-ordinate staff induction, training and development

Lead on Inclusion including Champion of Disadvantaged

Oversee Personal Development

The successful candidate will also:

Be an outstanding teacher with a track record of achieving excellent examination results for children

Be able to lead with vision and think strategically

Demonstrate strong leadership, management and interpersonal skills

Have a proven track record of improvement and impact

Demonstrate the highest professional standards.
