Responsible to: Headteacher/Senior Leadership Team

Main activities and Responsibilities:

In addition to the class teacher responsibilities, the post holder assumes responsibility as Deputy Headteacher for the day-to-day co-leadership and management of the school. This is under the direction and in collaboration with the Headteacher.

The Assistant Headteacher, under the direction of the Headteacher, will take a role in:

Operational and strategic planning

Formulating the aims and objectives of the school

Contributing to and support the overall aims and Catholic ethos of the Trust

Establishing policies for achieving these aims and objectives

Managing staff and resources

Monitoring progress towards the achievement of the school’s aims and objectives
