Thames Park Secondary School, part of Osborne Co-operative Academy Trust is an 11-16 secondary co-educational school, with 570 pupils within years 7-10 currently on roll. In September 2024 we will have year 7-11. We are full with waiting lists in every year group. We are seeking to appoint an experienced, dynamic and dedicated leader to actively promote the aims and objectives of Thames Park Secondary School. The successful applicant will be an outstanding leader, who will have the ability to think strategically. As an effective team player, you will work within a diverse community of students’ parents, staff, Trustees and Senior Leaders. The core purpose of this role will be to take a lead in shaping the Behaviour and Attitudes throughout the school, and to play a major role under the direction of the Headteacher in formulating the aims and objectives of the school.
Some of the Key Responsibilities of this role include:
- Managing staff and resources to achieve the aims and objectives of the school and monitor progress towards their achievement
- Undertake the professional duties of the Deputy Headteacher reasonably delegated to you by the Headteacher and duties of the Headteacher, in the event of their absence from the school
- In partnership with the Headteacher and the Senior Leadership Team, provide professional leadership and management of Behaviour and Attitudes throughout the school

Thames Park Secondary School aims to provide an outstanding education for all its students. The report states that "The positive ethos at the school is valued and pupils contribute towards this in the way they behave and the way in which they take on positions of leadership", at Thames Park, students "capably take responsibility to lead". The report goes on to describe how Thames Park has "a positive learning atmosphere" and how "pupils conduct themselves maturely". The report also states that "Staff enable pupils to consider and discuss the personal issues faced in adult life”.
Due to increasing student numbers, Thames Park Secondary School is on a journey of improvement and is seeking to appoint additional staff, to support our growth. We are a school which is firmly rooted in serving our community. Thames Park Secondary School. opened to Year 7 pupils in central Grays in September 2020 as a brand new school. Grays is a vibrant, dynamic, rewarding and inspiring place to work, and enjoys excellent transport links. The area is undergoing large scale redevelopment in Europe as part of the Thames Gateway Development. We are part of a £20+ million building programme and will have excellent, purpose-built accommodation with state of the art specialist equipment and facilities in September 2022. We are the newest school in the Osborne Co-operative Academies Trust which comprises of 12 schools.
