What skills and experience we're looking for
As Deputy Headteacher, you will be expected to lead positively by example and professionally inspire and develop others to be the best they can be for the benefit of our children across all phases. Successful candidates must have previous proven experience of successful senior leadership and be able to provide challenge, rigour and strategic direction.
Our new Deputy Head should be a leader who:
Will strive to make a difference to the lives of all of our pupils
Is passionate about providing challenging and meaningful learning experiences and has a proven track record of raising attainment and making a positive impact on children across all phases of our school.
Has the skills and knowledge to monitor, evaluate and report on standards of attainment, learning and teaching across school and data analysis.
Is an excellent teacher
Has clear and demonstrable experience of developing their own and others’ pedagogy and practice
Has experience of leading teams of staff effectively
Ability to motivate and inspire colleagues, promoting high aspirations for all
Has excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to establish positive working relationships with colleagues, children, their families and the wider community, through modelling high levels of professionalism, commitment and integrity.
Believes passionately in the role of a Church of England School and lives out the Gospel Values in their day-to-day life.
Is committed to promoting and developing the Christian distinctiveness of our school
Is adaptable and resilient
Has the energy, compassion and perseverance to lead and see whole school projects through to a successful conclusion
Can utilise a range of leadership styles successfully to achieve the best outcomes when working
with a range of people in our school community
Is committed to the safeguarding, welfare and wellbeing of children and staff.
