Head Teacher: Mrs Helen Masaun.
Required for January 2026
We are looking for a Deputy Headteacher who will be an exemplary Early Years Teacher with a commitment to child-centred learning, take the SENDCO lead; have highly developed interpersonal skills which enable effective collaboration and communication when working with children, staff, parents, governors and the wider community; be able to lead and inspire our enthusiastic staff team and support the Headteacher in the strategic development of the Nursery School.
This is a full time teaching role with dedicated release time. This will enable you to work closely with the Headteacher, our qualified Deputy SENDCO and our own speech and language therapist and family support worker, as well as outside agencies. This would be an excellent opportunity for someone wishing to develop leadership and management skills and you will be given full support from the Headteacher, who will be your mentor. Training will be offered to those applicants who do not currently have the SENDCO qualification.
During the last few years, our teachers have gone on to be promoted to positions in both primary and nursery schools, including Headship and we are looking for someone who is ambitious, prepared to work hard, use their initiative and share our high aspirations for our school. At our last three OFSTED Inspections we were judged as “OUTSTANDING”.
“The achievement of all children is outstanding. Regardless of starting points or any barriers to learning, each child receives the care and support they need to make excellent progress.”
This is a large (88 FTE), popular nursery school on the edge of Witton Lakes Park. The school has a positive ethos, supportive parents and an excellent outside environment.
Closing Date: Monday 20th October - 12pm
