This role includes a teaching commitment alongside senior leadership responsibilities and offers an exciting opportunity for an ambitious leader who is passionate about providing outstanding education and ensuring that every child thrives academically, socially and emotionally.

Working closely with the Headteacher, the successful candidate will play a key role in shaping the strategic direction of the school, supporting high-quality teaching and learning, and fostering a positive, nurturing environment in which both pupils and staff flourish. As part of the Diocese of Hereford Multi-Academy Trust, the Deputy Headteacher will also benefit from being part of a wider family of schools, with access to strong professional networks, leadership development and central support, while remaining firmly rooted in the life and community of Much Marcle.

At Much Marcle CE Primary School, we are proud of our caring, family-centred ethos and strong sense of community, where every child is known, valued and encouraged to flourish. Set in the beautiful Herefordshire countryside, our school offers a nurturing and supportive environment with enthusiastic pupils, committed staff and positive relationships with parents, governors and the wider community. We value collaboration, reflection and continual improvement and are excited to welcome a Deputy Headteacher who shares these values and is keen to grow both within our school and across the Trust.

Early applications are encouraged as we reserve the right to close the vacancy prior to the advertised closing date.
