What skills and experience we're looking for
The children, staff and Governors of Woodland Community Primary School are seeking to appoint an inspirational, highly motivated, passionate and dedicated Deputy Headteacher from September 2026.
The successful candidate will play a central role in driving forward the school’s ambitious strategic plans whilst building on recent success. They will always put the children of Woodland at the heart of their decision making and will have the leadership ability to inspire colleagues to do the same.

We are looking for someone who:

- has the ability to inspire and motivate staff to secure the very best outcomes for all
- is enthusiastic, creative, innovative and is prepared to ‘roll their sleeves up and have a go’ in their desire to deliver excellence in all aspects of leadership
- is an excellent communicator who is able to work well under pressure, successfully managing the complex demands of leadership in a large three form entry primary school
